Well if tripping in public made for a bad day, every day would be bad. Things like that are minor everyday inconveniences. A bad day is when you lose your job and they send you a foreclosure statement in the mail and your car breaks down and you catch pneumonia and have to be hospitalized. And your gerbil dies. What a world, what a world.

No. Having a bad day would be like waking up and finding that your electric in your home has been shut off. Late for work because you had a flat tire. This is what I would call "having a bad day." The rain and tripping in public might just make the day seem even worse, but accidents like this happens.

I don't mind getting caught in the rain, but I was walking in the local mall last week, having went in for something to eat (I was next door at the Civic Center for a sci/fi fantasy convention, and was part of a SCA medieval fighting demonstration, so I was still in full armor) and headed up the escalator, but just as I neared the top where the steps flatten back out, I moved forward too fast and tripped over the edge of the last step. I bloody well almost face-planted, but I threw my hands out to either side, contacting the smooth plexiglass walls and brought myself to a halt even though I was fighting against 40 lbs. of extra armor weight. People stopped and stared, because 1. I looked like an ungraceful fool when I tripped, 2. because I looked a lot like Arthur from Excalibur as I came up the escalator, and 3. I stopped my fall with a move that took a heckuva lotta strength. I quickly got out of there and headed to the food court, not wanting to stay in the vicinity of such a potentially embarrassing event.

Nah, being caught with your pants down in the rain and tripping over your pant leg trying to pull them back up in public is having a bad (yet funny) day

Nope, I like being caught in the rain and tripping in public is lightly embarrassing and unfortunate but not a bad day as you usually get sympathy.

I actually like getting caught in the rain, it makes me feel so alive.
A bad day would be losing you keys, or waiting up with Bon Jovi stuck in your head....

yes for both
another thing for being a bad day is :
being late for work...having your boss give you a lot of things to do, that you're really not in the mood to ...arguing with your mate early in the morning before heading off to work...getting stuck in traffic...
a lot of things can ruin my entire day
lol

Nah...they are just minor inconveniences.

A bad day is getting shot at; losing your lover; coming home to find your house burnt down, etc.
