Your DVD drive firmware is out of date. It is a hassle to update your firmware if you are not computer fluent. The best case right now is to purchase a new one.

The same thing happened to me, i tried to upgrade my firmware without any luck, so i purchased a new dvd drive from Newegg.

Just in case you really want to update your firmware, go to the manufacture website to seek help.

You need to give more details. What OS are you running and what version of Windows Media Player. It could be a codec problem. http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Mega_Codec_Pack.htm
Hope that helps
