When I was in elementary school, walking to school then walking back home after school.
There was a house that had two trees (don't know what type) in the front yard that were right next to each other, and they were both cut so they made the shape of a heart, sort of.
My mom and I would run around and in between the trees, trying to catch each other. We called it 'our' tree.
There was another tree in the front yard of a different house, a pecan tree, so every fall there were pecans scattered all on the ground so my mom and I would pick a few ever so often.
I didn't like pecans back then, but it was something just me and my mom did and that fact alone made me enjoy it.
Also, every December me and my mom would go buy the Christmas tree then decorate it as soon as we got back home. That was back then, now it's a family thing. We all go to a Christmas tree farm after Thanksgiving, cut down our own tree, then my brothers and I help my mom decorate it at home.
I have none of my father. My parents separated when I was a baby. It's always been just me and my mom.

I tell you, I have no memories of my parents together in my childhood. My father die when I was very little. I loved the way my mom took care of all us by herself. My father was no good, he was an alcoholic and did not care for us, he died drunk. Memories of mommy singing every Sunday to us, we would sit around her and she would sing like she was a star singer. I remember those days, we had lots of fun. It was every Sunday. For some reason I feel like singing on Sundays too. Mommy is the best, she is still living and very happy..

My Mom and I used to have dance parties in the morning before school. WE would just turn up the music and dance. I think I was in second grade at the time, and sometimes I was late for school, but at the time the only thing that mattered was dancing in the living room with my mom. I know it's a random memory, but I'm so fond of it:)

My parents divorced when i was about 7 so i don't have a lot of memories of them together. i do remember all of us driving in the family car and my mum had her hand resting on my dads knee the whole time. like they just had to keep physical contact between them. i thought "so that's what love is" turned out it wasn't enough but i still remember it.
