I am afraid I know, and very concerned with the potentials it brings for the total corruption and downfall of the USA as a viable independent nation and a free people.

And so far, the only people even thinking of running who have integrity and good plans have no chance at all to win.

I believe our choices are basically do we disintegrate as a viable nation very quickly, or more slowly. And I can hope for a more slowly, but think the rapid disintegration is the more likely.

But we will never, as ordinary citizens, really know our great experiment in good government and freedom for the individual is over and failed until later on.

Those who wish to destroy America are clever and powerful with words and images, and are backed by skilled lawyers and propagandists and oodles of money, slyly extracted..

Read Orwell's "1984" to see where we are currently headed, and as a communications engineer, I have seen some of the preliminary equipment experiments already installed nationwide that presage a 1984-style of government and world. Just getting going a little later than Orwell anticipated!

One writer long ago penned, "America is great because America is good, and when she ceases to be good, she will cease to be great." Something to think on. Frightening when one thinks of the potential candidates for President and how "good" they are!

Yes.

I fear Hillary (her co-president) may again bring down the office of President through further questionable ethics and media distractions as they did before. Already we see questionable/fishy campaign contributions returned. A foreshadowing of things to come.

C'mon people... We can do better by someone more qualified.

I fear every unqualified candidate. Which really only leaves one choice. Like him or not, Sen. McCain has decades of foreign policy and fianace experience. Is a reformer. Is conservative but understands that effective legislation needs bi-partisan support. Votes on priniciple, not opinion polls.

The last thing the White House needs is another lawyer or robber baron, gynecologist, carpetbagging opportunist, aw-shucks minister, out of touch liberal, medicore actor turned ineffective politician, or some guy who parlayed American tragedy into a miultimillion dollar consulting gig.

There is one qualified candidate and unfortunately, bc he stands on principle even though the reality is that no one can be all things to all people unless they're BS-ing you, he won't get elected in this sound-byte, style-over-substance culture. We are witnessing the tragic decline of the roman Empire, folks.

There are people who I hope will not be elected, but I would not classify my concerns as fears. Presidents are not as powerful individually as we sometimes present them to be. The good, or bad they can do is largely limited by how much support they can garner in Congress for their policies. In general our government tends to be moderate with both sides keeping the most extreme of the other in check.

Why afraid ? Are you fearing more wars from the Republicans ? More social welfare measures from democrats ? Inept and inexperienced governance from the chance election of some novice ? or a dictatorial maniac taking over and plunging the country into disrepute.

Extremely afraid. Especially if hillary wins. She'd be more like a dictator than a president. But people are blind and will vote for her anyway.

If hillary becomes president, we better be afraid, she it not our friend and not "all about the children", she is all about "it takes a village" one she owns and operates. Only two I think has full intentions of stabbing us all in the back is her and obama.

You may have heard this story--but here goes anyway:

Chelsea Clinton, daughter of the former President, was given a school assignment to interview General Petraeus. She asked him if there was ANYTHING he was afraid of. His answer: Little Chelsea, I am afraid of only three things: OSAMA, OBAMA, and YOUR MOMMA.

To all those of you afraid of Hillary, I wish Rudy. "1984" will be child's play. He is certain to complete the fall of the American Empire.
