Oh yeah. The last drive-in in our town was replaced with a large home improvement store in 1997. But the summer of 1996 when i was 19 i was there with my college friends all the time drinking and not really watching the movies in the back row. But when i was a kid we went to the drive in all the time. i remember falling asleep in the chaise lawn chair durring Splash with Darryl Hannah. There is still a drive in theater open and running in the summer months in a nearby town Newton, Iowa.

Why didn't you just ask who was 30 or older! Anyway I have been to a drive-in movie. I used to go all the time as a kid with my parents. It's where I saw E.T. The drive-in in our town has been gone for more than 20 years... Thanks for making me feel so old. Some 12 year old is going to answer "What's a drive-in movie theater?"

Yeah, you're right. It sounds like some people are lucky enough to still have a drive-in! I guess the bigger give away is that I saw E.T. at the drive-in! I wish my town still had one, I'd love to take my kids; I have nothing but good memories from that place. My town now does this lawn-chair film thing in the summer. Everyone brings their lawn chairs to this big vacant lot and they project movies on to the side of a building. It's pretty cool.

Yes and it was a double feature of Prince of Persia and Shrek Forever back in June. Was at The Last Picture Show in Gatesville, Tx. Love that place!

yea, i remember seeing Barbarella, Flesh Gordon, American Graffiti, ET, Jaws, Alien....yea i watched the movie. I never necked at a drive-in.

i remember them, i use to go with my parents as a kid and then as a teenager, a group of us use to go on hot summer nights, take a picnic and sit on the ground in front of the cars and have a party. those were the days guys......
