Event pokemon are pokemon that are not caught in the wild or storyline but rather are obtained by attending a nintendo event to receive a key item that will make them available in game. The following pokemon are Shaymin, Darkrai, Arceus.

shiny pokemon are rare and random events that happen when you use your poke radar the grass glitters and meaning that the pokemon is shiny. however the chances of you ettin one is EXTREMELY thin as i think the odds of you even seeing one is like 8900 to 1
so if you are in 8900 wild pokemon battles technicaly the next one should be a shiny

You need pure luck to catch shiny pokemon because they appear every 1 in 8192. that's 0.0122% of a chance of finding one!!!

Event Pokemon can be had in person at promotional events like at the Pokecenter in New York. You have to be present to have one transferred to your game. You can look up events on www.pokemon.com.
