As a red sox fan I fear that Epstein might be tempted to give A-rod a huge deal (say, 7-8 years, $200-230mil+). That would completely crush any hopes of building a farm system and raising home grown talent. Plus that would also leave no room for new pitchers when Schilling leaves or retires.

i highly doubt the Red Sox would sign A-Rod
they'll re-sign Mike Lowell

the Mets don't need and can't afford A-Rod
they should go after Johan instead because they need pitching badly

with baseball players like Barry Bonds and Willie Mays, A-Rod might sign with the Giants to be a part of that group

the white sux can't afford him and A-Rod wouldn't go with them anyway cuz they suck

the Dodgers seem unlikely but not out of the question

the Cubs are huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge bidders for him
after the 2008 season, when we get sold, the Cubs will recieve about $1 billion
we can easiily afford A-Rod
he can be our SS, The Riot moves back to 2B and DeRosa moves to RF as we trade Jacque Jones and Cliff is gone to retirement
A-Rod has played for Piniella
he wants to go to a contender
he can wear Cubbie Blue pin-stripes
he'll be able to test out the NL, where he can set more records and is more likely to win an MVP award cuz NL hitting is not as great as AL hitting

MY CUBBIES ARE THE PERFECT FIT =D

I don't think thats necessarily true.

I think any team like the Angels of Sox need to realize they have expand their payroll to take ARod on not try and scrunch him in.

If they do try and keep the same payroll then you are right, but I think the Sox are as popular as ever and can afford to expand.

I think it would be hysterical to see Red Sox fans cheering for Arod after calling him "Slap-rod" the past few years and claiming he was cursed.

They must keep Lowell. A-Rod is a disease. I hope they understand that.
