I am looking for a natural or over the counter possibilities to help with anxiety. Symptoms are jumping out of my skin at loud noises, scare easily when surprised, get the jitters and sometimes shake when in social situations and around family. Any ideas are really appreciated.

Absolutely. Start taking at least 1000mg of a good quality omega-3 fatty acid a day. I recommend a brand called Minami. There is also a brand called Country Life who make a product called Omega-3 Mood. Its phenomenal. Fish oils are very commonly recommended for children with ADHD as well, as the theraputic doses do wonders for proper brain function.

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same.
