Prostitution cannot be solved as it is a line of work just like drug dealing. Of course they are both on different playing fields as prostitution is of course, a little less dangerous to our society. The best way to go about solving the prostitution problems is simply by controlling it. If our country legalized it and perhaps set up "legal" places of doing such a profession, then I honestly do not think there would be any issues with it getting out of hand. Just legalize it and place restrictions on where prostitutes can deal business, i.e. a Red light district like in other countries.

Legalize, regulate and tax it like any other profession. Make health checks mandatory, license updates every year, use a mentor system for training, set a minimum age, etc. and many of the bad things will go away. On the flip side, it's like gun regulation - for every honest citezen that gets licensed, there will be one that does it illeagally.

Prosecute clients - this will decrease demand. Prosecute pimps - they are the ones who force women into prostitution, and keep them from quitting. Provide alternative way to earn money for women - provide job training, set up tax incentives to local businesses who hire women, etc.

In most of Nevada it is legal. It is licensed, taxed and the girls get an exam with blood work every week.

What is the problem that you think needs a solution?

Legalize it and regulate it. No matter what anyone does or says it will not go away. It is called the world's oldest profession for a reason. Making it illegal simply creates criminals and actually makes it more dificult for the women involved to break away.

Poverty alleviation is the solution to prostitution since poor women will not be forced to engage in sex for pay.

Legalize it. Then it would be taxed and they would have to carry insurance. There wouldn't be any money in it after that.
