I need to think of ways to propose to my girlfriend. I asked her to move in with me at the end of April, she said yes. Now I'm thinking that we should be engaged before moving in. How and where should i ask her to marry me. I already got the ring i just have to get the round diamonds in it replaced with princess cut diamonds but other than that I'm ready. give me some ideas on how to do it.

I was wondering if i could take her out for dinner and then come home.. and do it there. i would have candles and hopefully rose pedals like so many of ya'll have suggested.

I personally am a big sucker for things that are more personal and sentimental than big and showy. Do something that shows you really pay attention to her and your relationship-like recreating your first date, taking her somewhere she's always wanted to go but you've never gotten around to it, or (if your musically inclined and don't get stage frieght) got to a kareokee and sing her "your song" then pull her off to the side and ask her to marry you.
When you do something that has meaning in your relationship while proposing it is super sweet and also shows her how much you care.

There are many ways, but a creative one will be the most memorable and one that is unsuspecting and takes her by surprise! Take her to dinner and when it comes to the dessert, have the waiter put the ring on top of the dessert. (Talk about putting the icing on the cake!)
About 10 years ago when I worked at a flower shop, I had the request to make a delivery some flowers with a teddy bear. The card read "Will you marry me? " The teddy bear was holding a box with the ring in it.
If you are into a bit of word games you could spring it on as a game or test or like a cross word puzzle or word search. It could be like fill in the blank.

Not on her birthday. Your proposal should have it's own date. Something to remember. Don't do something that's been played out over and over. If it were me, I'd want the guy to take me to the place where we first met. Then tell me all the things he remembers from our past. Then, start talking about our future. You could hide the ring someplace she'd never guess and then let her find it. Then propose to her in the traditional manner. If you don't have a ring, you could use a tree. Plant it together. You can always misplace a ring but you seldom lose a tree... Works well if she's into the environment. Then go together and pick out the ring, later.

Sorry, but that's what Dad's have to say to you at this time!
Hide the ring in a note, rolled up and put in a bottle.
Take her somewhere with water and when she isn't looking, or have a friend toss it in the lake, pond, whatever....
Let HER spot it by pointing to a bird or reflexion close to the bottle... now, chances are YOU are going in after it, so be ready for that.
Once its in her hands let her take her time and she will open it eventually.. Note.. "marry me jazz" and the ring and when she realizes it IS from you... get on a knee brother and do your thing!

most people due it at a resturant but do something different like at the beach.walking under the stars.go on a nice little trip somewhere beautiful with her.I purposed by buying a ring ,buy 3 dozen rose,i put the roses all over the bed and put the ring on the bed when she came home for work she walked in the room read the note i let her came down stairs in tears and said yes.

First of all, know that she will ssay yes. Take her to a place that has signifigance in your relationship, maybe a special spot you used to hang out, where you met, or make her dinner at your apt. if you dont cook, follow a recipe, it will suprise her. After that propose in a special way, maybe not verbally ask her. my boyfriend and i used to write each other notes on a my fleece blanket and on the steamy bathroom mirror. maybe you could do something like that? use her fave flower petals to spell out marry me? on the bed in your room.

Make it extra romantic... Pack a picnic lunch or dinner in a basket. Bring a bottle of wine and two glasses. Take her to the beach, park, or some place like that, and just ask her. She'll love it!!!

Don't do it at a restaurant...that's so cliche! Do it in a way she'll never forget. Plan a whole evening around it and pop the question when she least expects it. Have someone ready with a camera to catch her expression.
