For beginners, try Blogger. It is technically a place for blogs, but it is easier than a web site. Also, your Internet Service Provider should provide you with hosting for free.

Please don't get sucked in to the Free term.
Nothing is FREE, all of these companies are in buisness to make money not to give there services away free.
You will end up paying for one or more portions of the service.

free HOSTING is a scam!
and if some site offers you that,either they'll make money out of
some other way,or will do a crappy web hosting with your website.
