Doing 200 hours of volunteer work at ONE PLACE over 1 entire summer?

Doing 200 hours of volunteering over a period of 4 years? (like 8 hours for 1 club, 4 hours for another club, etc.)

If it were 50 hours on one projects and 50 on another, I would say perhaps the second, but most schools want to see that you have some real passions, not just a few hours on one thing and a few on another. To me (and I've served on scholarship committees and the like), the second option looks like someone was trying to rack up lines for their college applications, while the first looks more like they really got into something for the summer.

interestingly enough I will attempt to answer the question by telling you being sincere is more important. What I mean is What is in your heart is more important than what you write on the paper. Believe in what you do no matter how much or how little. If your interviewer is intuitive at all that person will sense what is in your heart, no matter what you write on paper. Good Luck
