The first step is to stop thinking of yourself. Now both of you have to focus on the child and doing whatever takes to make sure the child you SHARE feels loved and wanted by both of you.
You need to work with the father, try to set up equal time between the two of you, always get along in front of the child, never speak badly of the other in front of the child... and most importantly NEVER... NEVER!!! underestimate the importance of your child have BOTH parents in it's life.
You are not anymore important or any less important than the child's father. Being the mother doesn't make you better or special.

Be civil, be adult and talk to the father!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If he won't have a conversation, get a lawyer that will be the intermediary. The parent that is going to provide the best environment for the child should be the custodial parent. That doesn't mean the mother is automatically the best parent for the job. You haven't given enough detail for a better answer.

There's nothing you can do. The judge gets to decide what's best for the child. Go talk to your lawyer.

There is nothing you can do...custody/support are determined by the court as to what is more beneficial for the child...not the parent.
