Quite simple black absorbs heat whereas white reflects heat somewhat, why do arabs wear white robes in the desert to reflect the heat....♥

heat pretty much comes from light. When you see a color...you are seeing the light reflected off of that particular object. White is the combination of all colors and black is the absence of color. So...when you see black, none or very little light is being reflected as opposed to white where all light is reflected. Since black reflects no light...it absorbs the light and therefore absorbs heat.

White reflects light. For instance something that is red reflects the part of light that is red (the bit that's red in a rainbow), and not any other part of the spectrum. Something that's black doesn't reflect any light, which is why it appears black, the opposite is true for white. Instead of reflecting light, black absorbs it, and under the law of conservation of energy (it can't be destroyed) the light energy is converted into heat energy.

Well the answer is probably quite complicated, but here's my theory....
Black attracts more heat because 1. It's awesome 2. Heat is awesome 3. Heat=fire 4. Fire is awesome. 5. Fire is associated with hell 6. Hell is hot. (apparently).
White doesn't attract much heat because in a world of black, white is like the goody-two-shoes, nerdy kid with all the pimples and smelly clothes.I'm certain white doesn't have any cool friends like black does.
Black owns. White makes me look fat so I stay farrrr away...

Light radiates from visible to invisible forms of energy. The only things humans can see are the colored energies (don't know the actual term). For example when the light hits a white surface, most of the colored energies bounces off and whatever doesn't bounce off gets absorbed by the white surface. Black is not really a color. But merely the absence of color. Scientifically speaking white is the culmination of all visible colors in one. So black attracts more heat because its absorbing more light energy and not bouncing it off its surface. And what we are seeing is the the light bouncing off the surface. I hate to go off tangent, but girls can see more colors than guys.

Because it does not reflect low frequency heat like white does.

White surfaces are of a sound frequency that reflect the frequency of photons.
Black surfaces have the opposite effect.
