For the sake of this question, lets avoid the negativity about which candidates you think are horrible/evil/etc.

And I would also like to focus on candidates who who have real plans to make a real difference for working class Americans. I would prefer to not discuss candidates who promote tax breaks for the rich because it will "trickle down" to everyone else. I think it's fair to say that trickle down economics works well in theory, but in practice the rich tend to just keep their money and don't do the reinvesting to make the trickle down work.

I kinda like what the Mormon candidate has to say. I'm sorry I don't remember his name. Hillary is going to help the working class for sure. That's what the Clintons do.

Preferably, I'd want either Tom Tancredo or Duncan Hunter. I believe our biggest threat is illegal immigration, and preventing the pork barreled spending on more socialist programs that the democrats want. Both of these candidates are strong in both these areas.

But realistically, the candidate I like that has a shot at beating the democrats, is Fred Thompson. Followed by either Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee.

BTW, tax cuts benefit everyone, and trickle down economics do work.

As a child Kucinich had to live in the backseat of a car for a time. He was ousted for a time because he would not participate in a scheme with the power company that would rip off the people of Cleveland long term. When the truth came out, he was elected to the house.

If you are a conservative, Ron Paul is the non-tool candidate. He is mostly anti-federal reserve which makes sense...but personally I don't think the gold standard is a good enough solution.

But they are both a long shot. You need the backings of the corporations to have the media leverage to win the primaries and the election. This is why we will always have tools in office...
