I already have my printer hooked up on 1 computer in the room next to it. They are the same type of computer, running on windows XP.

You need to use the same network name for both PC's to be easier.
On the PC with the printer hooked up , open the printer folder and right click the printer icon go to properties. Select share printer and give it a name.

On the other PC you need to map to the printer. Add printer select network printer and browse to find it. Should be the only one on the network name you used.

Hook it up the same way ya would a normal network. On the computer with the printer connected physically, right click the printer in the control panel/start menu of windows and chose share printer and it should be available on the network. Just chose the printer from the print options of a program/application, the shared printer should be instantly available in the control panel on the remote printer once the physically connected computer has been set to share the printer.
