whoever said that it messed up their period must have been on a full month pill instead of the 28 day kind. Those 7 sugar pills are nothing and you don't need to take them. The only reason why they are there is so you don't forget to start a new pack on the right day. However you choose to do it is up to you but you don't need to take them. I personally just skipped 'em.

I skipped the placebo week (all sugar pills)... ONCE.

Never again. My cycle was WAY off, I was menstruating on my active pills and it took months to get my cycle regulated again.

I feel if you don't want a period, get on a pill that does three periods a year (Seasonale/Seasonique) or the one that gives you no periods a year (Lybrel) instead of skipping pills that you really should take.

I currently take my placebo pills, however I have heard that some doctors recommend their patients skipping the placebo pills so that women can have continuous cycles without having the break and "period".

I would recommend discussing this with your doctor first to see what he/she says.

they are just sugar pills to keep you on track, you dont need them.
