I'm asking everyone what their fave band is, so that I know what will be some good songs to play at a competition.
Me and my band play Rock or Alternative music so if u have any good suggestions on what you like, i'll be very gratefull

If you like metal, I'd have to say Tool, Disturbed, or System of a Down.
If you want alternative then go for Incubus, Modest Mouse, or Switchfoot.
For hard rock, I'd say Foo Fighters, Mushroomhead, Three Days Grace and maybe a little bit of Ozzie...
Of course above all I'd want to hear some classic Linkin Park, but I don't think the average band could play a whole lot from them...
If you want a suggestion on which song to play, I'd say "Song 2" by Blur, "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand, or "Tribute" by Tenacious D.
Oh yeah and that one song by Rage Against the Machine that's on Guitar Hero 2..... what was it....

Play a Smashing Pumpkins song. If you whip out "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" by them it would tear the roof off the place. But any of their songs would be good. Anything off Siamese Dream
