I know you are home, but are you giving him extra exercise? sounds like he needs to go on some long walks! As for the middle of the night capers, its time for crate training. This way he can't destroy anything that isn't in the crate with him- Which should be him and a blanket to sleep on. The cowering comes from your body language- He is just playing and being busy, which dogs do if not exercised and worn out. Picking at strings is normal- they are trying to "clean" up the loose string. Find a breeder or trainer to show you how to do obedience training or agility. Give him something else to think about, and you will see a changed dog. If you don't find something to keep him busy, he will find his own projects to stay busy! This is the sign of an intelligent mind- Be patient and stay busy!

good for them. i really don't care about boston but they won me 20 bucks and actually a sweep is double so they won me 40 bucks. GO RED SOX!!!

Probably. Towns that think that they have team spirit usually cause the most problems when their team succeeds. If I lived in Boston, I would not be afraid to deter revelers from my property in any necessary. Just because your delirious with joy doesn't mean that you can be careless.
