Im thinking of getting a ps2 since the ps3 came out and ps2 games prices are dropping like rocks. What are some good games?Here are some games that look good any opinions on them? GTA 3,vice city,San Andres,Final Fantasy Series(which is the best?),Kingdom hearts,Grand Turismo 3,4 , Shadow of the colossus(?),Killzone, Half-life. any of these good?

you already have some good ones.
the Grand Theft Auto Series is absolutely great for wasting incredible amounts of time, and each is better than the one before it (make sure to play them in order).
Final Fantasy is also a completely good choice. as far as ps2 games you might wanna start with FF X. then going right along with that Kingdom Hearts is a phenomenal series, probably in my top 5 of all time.
Gran Turismo is a great series but a bit on the serious side for me. It requires a lot of work and patience but is worth it. for a less business-like approach to racing try the Need For Speed series. the Hot Pursuit's are more of a typical racer while the Underground's are different than the usual scene. or the Burnout series, which is a lot of fun.
while I've heard that Shadow of the Colossus was good, I would skip it and go straight for God of War and GoW 2 (another of my top 5).
for platformers the Ratchet & Clank and Jak series' are both very entertaining and both have follow-up sequels as well.
oh and of course you can't forget Metal Gear Solid...

I love the Final Fantasy series. FFX (10) is the best, but FFXII (12) is a great game, too. Shadow of the Colossus is amazing.
I'll also recommend a few games. If you like action games, you MUST get God of War 1 & 2. They are absolutely incredible. Resident Evil 4 is great. Another good action title is Devil May Cry 3. If you like RPGs, check out Dragon Quest 8 & Dark Cloud 2.

Yes get a PS2. Buy GTA series(all great but vice city my Personel fave)
Final Fantasy series(X the best but all 5*)
Gran Tourismo=Amazing depth
others: Shadow of Colussus, Ico, Madden, Jak and Daxter(it looks kiddie but is good), MGS2/3, ZOE, and the WWE games

personally don't recommend going backwards but there are heaps of great games on the PS2 and now at a very cheap price, those are some of the best games that you've listed
