With 7 world series championships, the Redsox are still a tiny dot in the Yankees rear view mirror. If they do ever manage to catch up our grandchildren will be dust.
care2chess, I'm sure, if the numbers were reversed, it wouldn't be dumb to you, or any other Redsoxs fan. The fact that you think that you caught up with the Yankees when your still 19 rings short leads me to believe that they don't teach you to count in the Boston educational system. We all know that each one of those 26 championships is like a knife in your back. Now that we got rid of our October poison, we'll be glad to plunge another one in your back next year.

In the 21st Century, the Red Sox have won 2 World Series. The Yankees haven't won even one yet.
Most of the 26 World Series that the Yankees won took place before 1960. Different era, different player personell rules.
The Yankees always have had money and more advantages than any other team and have had more winnings seasons. Did you know the team with the next closest nunmber ot W/S championships is the Cardinals and they only have 11.

Let's see the Sox have won two World Series Titles during this decade; the yanks have only won one. Hmm? Seems to me that the Sox have already caught up.
See Mr. Yankee fan, the whole argument of how the Yanks have won 26 ws rings is a little dumb. It would be like a Celtics fan saying that their team totally rocks because they've got the most Championships in all of American Sports. But I guess whatever helps you sleep better at night! ;-)

I don't know, but one thing is certain, the Yankees are the only team ever to blow a 3-0 series lead in the ALCS. If the Sux beat them, what does that say about the Yankees?
