Are Arod/Scott Boras the two biggest toolbags on the planet?

Arod was going to make $27 million f*cking dollars next year! Can you comprehend that number? The Devil Rays' whole payroll in '07 was only $23 million. Just who the hell do they think is going to pay Arod more than $27 million dollars?

I am so in agreement. Boras is ruining baseball. If I were a GM, I wouldn't talk to him either. I wouldn't sign a single Boras client.

But come on, Arod has to be a moron too. How can he think there is someone out there who is going to pay him more than he's making now?

I am hoping no one. I wish more people would be like Kenny Williams (CWS) who just refuses to deal with Boras.

I hope Rodriguez signs for less or is forced to sit out.

Scott Boras does a great job for his clients and his own bank account. And no I can't comprehend that number.

That said, he is a jerk. I think that A-Rod just goes along and nods yes to everything that Boras says and does. Do we remember the last go around for A-Rod. Everybody in baseball (even A-Rod) thought he was going to the Mets and would have been a great fit, but instead Boras got more money from Texas and we know how that went.

A-Rod will end up somewhere (the Cubs, the Mets or the Angels) and might win a championship,but will always be known has Boras' lap dog.

A - Rod no. Scott Boras yes. Boras is the guy that set the price for Matzusaka at $100.0 million and (rumor has it) forced the high bidder to take JD Drew. Yes we all know that the Red Sox got much of that money back by selling the rights broadcasting Red Sox baseball to Japanese network, but Boras is raping the team and their fans with high salaries and high ticket prices.

That is what I would like to know. Boras is a toolbag, but Arod isn't. Boras just screws with Arod's head, and he holds the psychological advantage over Arod. Boras is a cancer to the game, and is a manipulator. Good luck to Arod on finding a team that will spend $30 million a year on him. He is going to need it.

Boras is evil, but not stupid. Have no doubt that he greenlighted A-Rod's opting out only after he got expressions of interest from at least one GM who is willing to open the bidding at $27 million for the next 8 or 10 years. Insanity. The Red Sox better not sign that tool as you call him. The other players love Lowell but will hate A-Fraud.

Wait, Yankees fans complaining that baseball is "all about the money?" Really, neither you nor Boston have any grounds to complain about that.

If you don't like the state of baseball you do have the option of not watching. All Pro-Sports are multi-billion dollar businesses and yes it is all about the money. If you are going to blame Boras, then also blame the Yankees, Red Sox, Mets, Cubs, and Dodgers who are gladly paying.

And anyways, I think A-Rod is leaving New York because he just can't stand it there. I mean the fans have been on his a-- since he got there and he was forced to give up his position Short Stop, to a lesser Short Stop.

well, they saw the writing on the wall. The sox were about to win the world series. The yankees are going into a re-building year and likely losing a lot of their pillar players (rivera, posada, etc). They know Lowell is a free agent. The Sox are the only other team that would be able to afford Arod....so they are looking towards boston
