Around here, Christmas music doesn't start playing until the day after Thanksgiving. Even though the stores are already marketing their Christmas merchandise, none of them are playing holiday music yet.

There's one station around here that starts to devote 2 to 3 hours a night to Christmas music in early November.

Here, in Norfolk, Virginia on 92.9 fm The Point, it starts on November 1, and on 105.3 fm it starts on Thanksgiving, I guess because that's the traditional start of the Christmas season. Both stations play all Christmas songs all the time until December 26. Oh, I'm getting all giddy just thinking about it...he he he.

On the radio, about the middle of November. Usually after Thanksgiving. They start with a song here and there. And before you know it, Christmas songs are being played all the time. I can't wait!!

i know XM starts playing the day after thanksgiving with an all day christmas music marathon that starts there christmas channels!!
