Large house (rural), and to be able to afford things. Like nice food, new clothes, yearly vacations, and enough money for them to join clubs like gymnastics or baseball etc

I would say 200k.That way you tuck away some college funds too.

depends where you live and how many debts you have, ie: credit cards, house payment, car payments.
