Sure! Most of the time they have no idea I'm praying for them in the first place! Also, it isn't a reciprical thing. I have prayed for people who have no idea I even exist. }:>

Yup. I routinely pray for people who have wronged me -- and those that I wronged back in my hardcore drinking days but who will never know that I've become a better person.

To me, the whole point of praying for others is to be benevolent. I can't imagine praying for someone with the expectation [i.e. hope or demand] that I receive similar efforts from them.

Yes, all the time. When I've been in conflict with someone, I pray that we'll come to a mutually agreeable resolution. I've also prayed for difficult people to have something good happen so that they could move on with their lives.

Yes. I used to have a friend who had a saying that I thought was so cool. She'd always say(pray) "Lord bless them more then you'll ever bless me." She was a very special person. She died a few years back. I'll always remember her saying that. I admired her so much.

Yes, my ex. I prayed that she would find peace in her new life. I knew that she would never be able to do the same for me.

I think that's the point. Pray for your enemies as well. Pray that you can forgive them too. It makes me feel better.

That is the idea of prayer to have every good intention without expecting anything in return. Save the reward for later when you get to heaven...hopefully!!! :)
