I don't know where you got the idea that the Chicago White Sox are better then the Chicago Cubs always, that is not the thurth. You might find it hard to believe, but the Cubs can even be better then the White Sox. Well take this year, the Chicago White Sox ended the season with 72 wins and 90 losses. Now the Chicago Cubs ended the season with 85 wins and 77 loses, and made the playoffs, sure they lost to Arizona Diamondbacks in a sweep. Now let's jump back to 2005, when the White Sox were the better team. Also if you check out Wikipedia, you might find some years when the Chicago Cubs were better then the Chicago White Sox, and I will be provoiding links for you to check it out. I don't have the time to read through both pages to give you years when the Cubs were better then the White Sox . But at least the Chicago White Sox have something the Chicago Cubs don't have, and that is a much more recent World Series championship, and they ended thier long drought not winning the World Series, and the Chicago Cubs haven't, and when will they, and if that happens that will be a sign of the world coming to an end as we know it.

Are you drunk? Or are you not a White Sox fan? Where is Chris Young, our great minor league prospect? Oh that's right, he was traded for a bag of beans because we were betting everything on Brian Anderson.
What happened for the Past few years of the Kenny Williams GM-ship? Oh that's right, Kenny was trading prospects left and right so that we could bring in talent to win in 05 and to attempt to win again in 06 and just die in 07. We no longer have any meaningful minor league talent.
And the Cubs? Theriot, Soto, Fontenot, and Pie? All from the Cubs minor league. And they still have that Kid from Notre Dame they just picked up and tons more talent than the White Sox.
Whomever buys the Cubs is almost assured a World Series in the next 5 years, if they know baseball and are here to win.
Oh and the Cubs are better than the Sox this year, next year? Who the hell knows, Baseball is crazy and Kenny is a slick GM.
And god bless A-Rod for leaving the Yankees and during that boring a-- world series this year. That was the best time to say it.

This is a tough year to answer this question.
However - a few thoughts.
The WS have more stability in it's ownership.
The WS have a supieror minor league system with better prospects for the future.
The Cubs go for the quick fix, by trying to get a star player to carry them.
The Sox try to build their future from within their system.

Well, regarding this season, the Cubs reached the playoffs while the White Sox were last in their division. So the per4mances from the 2007 season are your counterargument.

They are not. When was the last time the Sox won the series? Plusses - Bill Veeck and his midget pinch hitter (I forget Eddie's last name) Minuses - continual mediocrity, poor uniform changes, they play on the wrong side of town, black sox scandal
Cubs minuses - have not won the series since the thirties. Plusses - Wrigley Field, Ernie Banks, Sammy Sosa, great history of position players and managers.

this season cubs were better. franchise wise, sox are better becuase they won the 05' world series, while the cubs have not won in 99 years.

there not... but u can use the billy goat curse in your logic and that its been over 90 years since the Cubs last world series... if that helps... but this year the Cubs were better.
