I was interested in getting a plan with Verizon through WalMart..but since I don't have any credit yet, I would need to deposit 300$ so I was wondering if I'd sign up for the plan and buy my phone online off of the Verizon website, would I still need to put a deposit down? if so, would it still be 300$? thanks for your help

A credit check is run either way. Most likely because you have not established a credit history yet you would be required to put down a security deposit. In a store or online it would be the same process. I believe it is kept for a year and with a good payment history, returned with interest to you right after your 1 year anniversary.

How about a pre paid plan until you can either get the 300 or a credit card.
