go to the back of your router and prss and old the reset pin for about 20 seconds! now wait for it to resfresh! Then Go to your computer and open up internet explorer! Enter the default IP of the router!
I think it 198.162.0.1 if it is not, then call the router manufaturer and find out! It might not work to connect to the website unless you actuallly went to the network settings and connected to the unsecure (newly refreshed) router first, Then try accessing the seetings with the IP. the password fro the site, should be blank, you can set one after! Once on te site go to manually configure netwrok settings (look around) shouldnt be too hard to find! or Security or something! Select a WEP encryption and sick ti 64-bit as it is easy to remember! set a code such as B8068H742F (Just an example). now go to save setting and then press restart if this option appears for your router! THIS IS WHEN THE SITE WILL NOT WORK SINCE YOUR ARE NO LONGER CONNECTED! Go to network setting, and select and connect to your router! You will be prompted for you key which is the "B8068H742F" or whatever you put. press connect and it will connect! If you have amodem hooked up from your ISP then you should be fine to noe connect to the internet and do WE! You may now go back to the site and make other modifications as required! I suggest setting a password for the administrator for the site before changin anything, then you can change settings camly without worrying that anyone else is connected! (I assumed u are working with a wireless system) (Same idea with wired too though). If it is a New router or new it is a good idea to unplug your modem an dreset it so that it recognizes the new data being sent, some info might get stuck on it and you might not have internet! After you unplug and replug it should work! Also e-mail me if you have any questions! Netwroking is the dumbest thing since technology is not supported by itself! they make N1 routers vista compatible but the dapters are only xp compatiple! very stupid! Networking is very tough! Good Luck!

Reset the router and it should take care of it.

If not check the windows Firewall and see the status. Disabling the firewall will be the best option. Now try Releasing and Renewing IP. It should work.

Firewall may be blocking your internet.
Or it may be a virus attack
