I am going through the same thing. I am on pill 3 of my first cycle of clomid, so I will keep you updated.
However as far as getting you periods back in check, I am on metformin and also prolife and they have gotten my periods back in check. So try those first just to get you periods back in order, then check with your doctor about clomid.
I know its hard but be patient, it took me about a 9 months to get where I am.

clomid is a 50/50 thing, it works for some and not for others, I to have pcos and ttc, I did clomid for 4 cycles and didn't ovulate, try asking your dr about metformin its good when it comes to regulating your cycles, this is my 2nd month on it and now I have a 29day cycle

First let me suggest that you read Fertility Foods by Dr. Jeremy Groll who is a reproductive endocrinologist. His theory is that 90% of women who think they are infertile actually just have a hormone imbalance.
PCOS can be helped naturally. Sometimes it's as easy as losing 10-15% of your body weight in order to get your hormones in check.
