The Yankees have already said flat out that they will not bid for his services. Is there any other team out there that could actually afford to pay him $25 million/year or more? I think it would be hilarious if he ends up in Anaheim or Chicago making only $23 million.

I would love that. What a greedy loser! He is the highest paid guy in the sport by far and he wants more. What a damn travesty. I would commend a team I dislike in the Yankees if they tell him to take a hike.

Don't count out Steinbrenner's idiosyncrisies. I think Bosotn should make a bid of $27 mil and make George bite the bait. As a red sox fan It's not too bad to see $30 mil of Yankee money going down the drain.

yeahh he deserves a lot less then $30 million in my opinion..
im glad he left..everyone thought he was a good player because of his homeruns but overall he sucked and the yankees could do better without him
