This is a tough question because the true answer varies. Sometimes I really like listening to Rhonda Fleming. Other times, the Beatles are best. Then Roy Orbison's voice warbles amazingly. And when my mind gets ethereal, I like Deutsche Grammophone Gesellschaft's "Holst The Planets."

I had several unforgettable moments watching "The Blues Brothers with my now-adult kids; watching the second Blues Brothers with my little big son is also resonant.

When I was much younger, a single and scared and unafraid young Army ex- soldier, Johnny Cash's "I walk the line" and "Ring of Fire" played through the bad metal speakers at the racetrack while I got ready to race my Bultaco Sherpa. The smell of greasy hot dogs and Castrol R in the air combined with Cash's melodic poetry and made the day one big adrenalin-soaked day.

Thanks for asking, I haven't thought this much about music in awhile.
