Conservative talk radio in the States would have you believe that traditional culture in England has been all but wiped out by immigrants from Muslim countries as well as liberals who bow to their every demand. While I understand that they exaggerate for effect and to sway listeners to their point of view, to what, if any extent, is this true?

Listen mate. It IS TRUE. Depends where you live. I live in a place called Tottenham. I work in a place called Hackney.
Working to get myself outa here. My kids are the ONLY white children in their school classes. EVERYTHING revolves around 'etnic minorities', thing is my kids are the ethnic miniority.. No one gets the irony in that......White working class boys are performing at the lowest levels in schools because there are special catch up programmes for kids of black/asian backgrounds to suceed so it looks good in league tables. My sister has a job teaching and trust me, if those black/ethnic kids are not achieving....theres gonna be ructions for her.
I have been verbally abused and my car and property destroyed because I asked some turkish and black boys not to sit on the bonnet of my car and eat chicken and chips.I was called every name under the sun(with reference to my colour) Police did nothing----copper told me though if I had called them names, that would've been a different story and that was wrong(copper was black)
At my work Christmas do, we were not allowed to bring in alcohol as it would offend the Muslim co-workers. They didnt mind at all, but British peoples common sense has gone out the window because we are told to always 'respect' other peoples religions/cultures. Culture is learned by the way, not inherited and I DONT respect other peoples religions as I wouldnt respect their political views would I ??? Thats not to say Im rude to people. Some of the people I work with (muslims) are great, they come to the pub(dont drink tho) and dont seem to hold any militant views, SOME though are that sly militant type. Playing their victim status for all they are worth.Have to be careful not to say certain words etc. One guy made a fuss about buying new knives and forks for our kitchen as the ones we had were' haraam'. Bring your own in then mate
To cut a long story short, people who say no on here are not living amongst the immigrants.....I am.

middle class people who live in the rich areas will tell you that there is no problem, because they never have to see it. Working class people will tell you that yes there is a very serious problem, which is considerably worse than the politicion let on. The Labour government has put the country in a terrible state and i can't see it getting better any time soon. millions of people are out of work, petrol costs 98.9p per litre, the prisons are full, the average house costs 10 times the average annual wage , we are being forced to built houses on our few remaining green spaces, The NHS is on the brink of collapse and crime is rife. How does this compare with where you live?

It's not true at all. I don't feel traditional things have been wiped out. I'm still very much English. People celebrate Christmas, towns and homes are decorated, still eat British meals, there are towns in England that are very traditional etc. I went on holiday to a Victorian seaside town that hadn't changed much, still had old style shops, tea shops, thin roads etc and some very nice old villages as well. There are some parts of the UK that look like other countries in places but most of the UK still looks like the UK. I also like the things different cultures have brought to the UK like different foods, people, etc.

To a certain degree but I think the media makes it sound worse. We have had instances of Christmas being called Winter Holiday or something stupid like that so as not to offend non-christains. Things like Guy Fawkes, Poppy day, Easter and the like have been taken a bit too PC in the past few years by some people, but the media has its part to play. Every Muslim I've spoken to says they are MORE offended by people bending over backwards to make them feel comfortable.

It is absolute nonsense. Scaremongering. Propaganda.

If anything is a threat to traditional English culture it is American consumerism. Cities for example used to have their own identity. These days though they're becoming homogeneous, with the same shops selling the same overpriced garbage in every town and city.
