I, too, am very stubborn...but forgiving comes easily to me.
It all depends on the situation, though. At 37, I have not come across a situation I can not forgive because holding on to it makes me feel horrible. I have learned and moved on and feel no reason not to forgive, yet it does not, in any way, shape or form, mean I still associate with that person...does that make sense???

No. Once trust is broken, it is hard for me to believe again. That trust must be earned again, and that takes quite awhile. If the issue is serious, the opportunity to be trusted again may not be available. It depends on whether I want to put myself out there again or not. I liked the line in Pride and Prejudice when what ever her name was was trying to find a fault with Mr. Darcy. He replied that once a trust was broken he did not forgive that person. How interesting he found that a fault. I just found it to be a reasonably cautious attitude. Of course that is a set up for the plot but a strange line. There are some people that are users and liars on a regular basis and sometimes it's a bit hard to figure out just who they are. They make it pretty hard on others who just make an error in judgment.

You know i am kinda like that. if it was something that somebody honestly did not mean to do than i can forgive, but if someone goes out of their way to cause harm or pain to me or someone i love its very hard for me to forgive. I did learn though that forgiveness is a good thing. it can really eat at you and can cause more stress. however its very hard to forget.

I hold grudges and don't forgive for a long time too. I'm trying to get better but it is hard.

I do forgive easily, but at the same time, I also hold grudges.
God's not done with me yet.

Yes, but I'll never ever forget if it is something serious, and may even bring it up if sometimes arguments get too much heated.

it depends on two things--how long i've been friends with or known the person, and what they did to me. if i've known them for yonks and one night we got into a drunken brawl over something stupid then it won't take me long to get over it, but if they're someone i've just met and they turn round and shack up with my woman or steal from me then it's likely i'll have it in for them forever.
