Alright, a little make up is "enhancing" or whatever you'd like to call it but when women pancake it on that gets me wondering what's underneath there... it's like a mask.

They are trying to be more beautiful or alluring.
But "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." What many folks find attractive, others find unattractive and phony.
I have always preferred women who wear light makeup, at the most. But judging from some of the married women I have seen, some men
prefer the "mannequin" look that you describe.
It turns me off, but it must turn those guys on!

I am trying to hide my extreme ugliness. With some women make up makes all of the difference in the world.I am one of those women. Plus my husband likes it. So even though it is a huge pain to have to bother with it every day , I like to be sure to put it on before he comes home.

I have blemished, oily and uneven skin. I used to not wear make-up alot, but when I turned 18, I really liked it, it made me feel like a girl I never was in school. My mom wouldn't let me even cut my hair, I snuck a cut at 17yrs old and when it went from over 2ft long to not even 1 ft, I said it must have been a misunderstanding.....
I like to put just enough foundation on to even my skin out, if I found an "invisible" foundation that just made my face radiant a even, I'd wear just that... But I like to just do what I never was aloud to do before....I'm not hidng anything except an uneven and combo skin type....
To me, it's almost like asking why we shave our legs or fix our hair. Other countries like "au nataral" but We like it for beauty(and possibly hygene..) We just do it. I'd say it's just personal preference...

Some women don't wear that much. I wear makeup because it's fun to put on. I don't think I have deceived anybody with it. I don't think it makes me look better either. It's like coloring in a coloring book; it's enjoyable.

I have noticed that there are more and more male cosmetics appearing on the market these days. Errrr - personally I never use such things. Just thought I'd mention it.

Even the most gorgeous women on the planet use make up,its just because nobodys perfect and we like to look "glamorous"!!!

I don't like make up but when I go out you can bet I'm gonna level the playing field. My eye make up makes me gorgeous and you dont notice gray eyes until you wear charcoal eye shadow and mascara makes my eyelashes that are already long, supersexy.

I only wear eye liner and thats pretty much it, I just wear it because I feel like I am closing my self. (I dont think you know what it means) but yeah people wear it because they think they look prettier like that.
