You should recognize the base as being a Pythagorean triple:
5^2 + 12^2 = 13^2
25 + 144 = 169
So the other leg is 5cm
The formula for lateral area is:
A(lateral) = (perimeter of base)(height)
A(lateral) = (5 + 12 + 13)(30)
A(lateral) = 30(30)
A(lateral) = 900cm^2
