I heard it on my local oldies station once and I thought the tune sounded like another one of their hits but it was alomst over by the time I turned the radio on so I didn't hear much of it. Can anyone help me with this?

What you are looking for is a beatles tribute band called "The Fab Four". They have a few christmas albums "Christmas With the Fab Four: Ultimate Tribute" and "Have yourself a FAB-ulous Little Christmas". I downloaded a few of their songs thinking they were beatles christmas songs a long time ago. The 2 songs I have are "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" in the tune of "I Saw Her Standing There".
The other is "White Christmas" to the tune of "Ticket To Ride". They can be found on amazon.com.

The actual "Beatles" did do some christmas albums back in the day. They were available to fan club members only. I have one song from them called "Christmas Time (Is Here Again)" from the album of the same name.

Yes, there's more than one!

For several years they used to go on radio to do a "Beatles Christmas Special" which kind of mixed comedy, interviews and music.

They sang quite a number of "modified" versions of their hits on these shows, putting new lyrics over the existing music, or doing it a cappella

See the year-by-year listing here (this is not comprehensive as a compilation, however):

It's not listed up there, but I know for certain that John Lennon also once sang "Happy Crimbo (Christmas) To You" to the tune of "Happy Birthday To You", mixing it with nonsense lyrics.

I'm not aware that The Beatles actually recorded any Christmas songs but I do know that two of them did it as solo artists. John came out with "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" and Paul did "Wonderful Christmastime".
