3. Troptiferio: masc. noun: someone who cannot carry a high note without it changing; cf. fem. noun: troptiferia, e,g., Florence Foster Jenkins. Etymology: from Greek τροποσ, to turn; Italian ti, seventh note of the musical scale; Latin -fer, bearing, carrying; Italian -io, one who.
