It all depends on the person, the situation and the subject matter. You could be referring to a lot of things with that question, sex, marriage, love relationships and so on. But on basics, everything you do the second time is better because you have learned something from the first time around. You don't make the same mistakes, you do things differently, or you completely choose another route the second time around.

That only counts if the first time sucks, because then of course the second time will be be better...
And then even if the second time is worse, it makes you realize how sly the first time was...making the second time in the long run, better.
Mind if I ask what you're talking about?

Unfortunately, conventional wisdom misses the boat with respect to predicting success in second marriages. The divorce rate of second marriages is higher than for first marriages. I believe it was Samuel Johnson, the 18th century author, who said that remarriage was the "triumph of hope over experience."

depending on what your doing the 2nd time its better because you know how to do what you did the first time better the 2nd time.
Like with me I took a math class twice and the 2nd time did seem to be a little easier since i remembered how to do some of what I did the first time.

You've gained knowledge and experience from the first time. so you know what to look for the second time.

I believe this theory is based on learning from previous mistakes, and knowing more about what we're getting into... less nerves, more familiarity... etc.
I can't say whether it works or not... Without knowing WHAT second time we're discussing..... smile..... }:>

Because by the 2nd time, if it is not, it becomes as punishment to the slow learner, IT (love is what you mean?) A LOT WORSE . . and increasing in infernal torture the more the times become!
