While it is true that Giuliani was a mafia prosecutor, it's also true that he surrounded himself with people with mob ties -- even as he was cleaning up New York.
For example, Giuliani quietly contracted out a $4 million security contract to a guy named Negri, who would meet directly with the Genovese crime family boss (and other mobsters) on a regular basis. You can read about it in the link below.
And don't forget Bernie Kerik, the Giuliani loyalist who was mobbed up the wazoo -- and Rudy made him POLICE COMMISSIONER anyway. (Rudy says he 'forgot' about Kerik's mob ties when he made the appointment -- interesting considering he runs a private company that does background checks!) (Link also provided below...)
I'd love to see a president who is smart, savvy, and effective -- but FREE from obligations to special interests -- whether it is big corporations, or The Mob!

No way!! Giuliani has been a major crime fighter who has been on the gangster's hit list for a long time. He fought the criminals, the mob, the gangsters and such in NYC and was a fine prosecuter who made major changes in New York. He cleaned up the City so you wouldn't recognize what once had been a crime infested and dangerous area. People who lived and visited in this area saw such changes that it was absolutely amazing for the good of the City. Don't know where you got that information.

What's bad about giuliani, Harold's son, is that we posed the question of Iraq before him as well as the question of would he sponsor China's imperial family for their stay in this nation. He didn't reply, but somehow that told us that he didn't like good Chinese people like us and was a bit offensive of good Americans returning back home to help and improve their nation. It spoke very poorly of him as being the leader of the free world and trying to foster true peace among nations! A cop he may be and that's all he may ever successfully achieve. We rated him low in IQ and diplomacy. And as to the Iraq War, he seemed to hold a prejudice against truth and in favor of an errant and criminal Presidential administration.

His dad was in the mafia, but I don't know if he was.
"Harold Giuliani had trouble holding a job and had been convicted of felony assault and robbery and served time in Sing Sing;[7] after his release he served as a Mafia enforcer for his brother-in-law Leo D'Avanzo, who ran an organized crime operation involved in loan sharking and gambling at a restaurant in Brooklyn"

No. It is true that as a prosecutor he went after gangsters, even after receiving death threats.
You have your history backwards.
