Citing league sources, ESPN.com reported Saturday that the Yankees are prepared to make Rodriguez an offer that will exceed, in average salary, the $27 million per season that A-Rod is scheduled to make through 2010.
The club's offer could exceed the $28 million salary that Roger Clemens earned, pro-rated after he joined the club in early June, to make 16 starts and one relief appearance in 2007. Boras has floated the idea that Rodriguez could be the Major Leagues' first player to earn $30 million or more in annual contract salary.
He will be coming back
27 WS in 2008

He'll only go to the teams who can PAY him as much as the Yankees could. Commenters on the Fox Broadcasting network during the World Series brought up the Red Sox or the Cubs.
We'll see.

Angels, because they need a power bat and Artie Moreno is (a) A major A-Rod fan, and (b) Is absolutely committed to bringing a World Series victory to the Angels.
What the Seattle fans would make of this could be fun to watch when he visits Safeco Field.

he says he left because he was unsure about the future of the yanks.. then i guess he has every right to leave .. but it's still crazy. i was surprised
