is this a good financial way to buy 360 then ps3?

i just sold my boring wii recently and am interest in ps3 and 360. Since ps3 cost so much and doubt price will drop soon, so im planning to get the 360 for $300. Then a year or so i ll sell the 360 and buy the ps3. Sounds like a nice plan?

or should i go straight spend hundred buck more for ps3 since im a sony fanboy

If you're a Sony fanboy just like me, then you should just get the PS3 right now. The cheapest version of the Xbox 360 doesn't even come with wireless controllers, or a harddrive. By the time you buy the Xbox 360 harddrive and wireless controller, you could have already purchased the 40GB PS3. Don't even waste your money buying the Core Xbox 360.

Also, the price on the PS3 just dropped recently, I guess the price is still too high for you, but the 40GB PS3 will sell for $399 when it comes out November 2nd but it wont be backward compatible, and it wont have digital camera memory card slots, but it will have built in WiFi.

And don't forget that the Xbox 360's have a bad hardware problem, and I bet that within the first year, the Xbox 360 will have gotten the Red Ring of Death. I've had my 60GB PS3 for almost 11 months and haven't had any hardware problems.

If you're a Sony gamer, then I think that you should stay a Sony gamer. There's no use for a Xbox 360 if you're a fan of Sony's exclusive games.

I owned the 360 and PS3. I'd say spend the extra hundred bucks to get what you want. Video games are a bad investment so no sense in getting a 360 with accessories and/or games when you are going to switch. The 360 has an arcade version for I think $280 now. The new 40 gb PS3 will be $400.

heres what im doing, i bought the 360 for the exclusive 360 games. then next year, hopefully the price will drop, im going to get the ps3.
