Technically, you should be seeing your doctor to be sure. He or she can prescribe antibiotics to help you.

If you don't want to go to the doctor, I HIGHLY suggest drinking cranberry juice and lots of it! Cranberry juice will help kill the bacteria and will help stop the problem. It may take a few days, but it works, I use this method all the time.

Hi,

A UTI infection is usually treated by the use of antibiotics such as nitrofurantoin, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole and certain penicillins such as amoxicillin. The urine culture can be repeated after 3-5 days to make sure that the antibiotic is working. The medicines should not be stopped till the infection is cleared completely.

The most important method of preventing such infections is to practice good personal hygiene. Always wipe from front to back after a bowel movement or urination and keep the skin around the anal region clean.

Drinking plenty of fluids each day also helps in flushing the bacteria out of the urinary system.

Empty the bladder as soon as the urge to urinate occurs.

Taking of foods rich in Vitamin C such as amla, citrus fruits and juices helps to reduce the number of bacteria that might be harmful to the urinary tract.

Are you being treated for the UTI? If so, it's probably just a little pus and bacteria being shed. It's gross, but it's totally normal.

EDIT: So, you're not being treated? I hate to tell you this, but UTIs easily spread to the kidneys. It may be that you're seeing a few kidney stones, or it may be that you're losing epithelial cells from the renal tubules (part of the kidney) That would be extremely bad. Either way, you really, really need to see a doctor.
