What are the red things and what should i do with females.

Bad news for you. The long red things sounds like the internal parasite Camallanus. Here's a photo for comparison: http://www.gaem.it/pubblico/articoli/malattiepesci/camallanus/camallanus03.jpg You should only be able to see these when the fish is relatively calm (not swimming). When the fish swims, these pull back inside.

If untreated, this will kill the fish (and any others in the tank - when the worms are hanging out the bum, they're laying eggs which will hatch and infect the other fish). You don't mention this symptom, but in a heavy infestation, the spine of the infected fish will become deformed.

At this point, you don't worry about pregnancy - the swelling of the females is most likely from the worms. This can be treated, but about the only thing I've used that works is Levacide (Levamisol HCl). This is a livestock dewormer that you can find in some fish stores or through a vet. I haven't used it for several years, and when I last bought it, it was about $17, so it doesn't come cheap. All the fish will need to be treated in the tank they're in - this link gives the basic procedure: http://www.inkmkr.com/Fish/CamellanusTreatment.pdf

One thing that I did differently was to treat the tank twice, about 4 days apart - this kill any eggs that hatch after the first treatment.

Sorry to say, but it's not babies. You have nematodes. They are intestinal worms that look like red spindles sticking out the fish's anus. Your fish can eat all day and still starve to death since the worms are getting all the nutrients. They are extremely hard to get rid of (I'm fighting them too) and it seems that Panacur (a dog dewormer, also goes by Fenbendazole) is the only thing that kills them. Get the powdered form from a vet and dissolve 3cc into 100ml of water and mix thoroughly. Add as many bloodworms as you need to feed your fish. Soak for 30 min to an hour, then dump the entire thing, water and all, into your tank. Two times a day for 2 days and then a pretty good water change. Do it again in two weeks and again two weeks later and keep up with cleaning. Don't know how well guppies will tolerate it, but if you do nothing they will eat and eat and still die.

In years of elevating tropical fish, I honestly have chanced on that "pink issues" are usuaully their poop. both male and woman guppies have this action. adult males have a gonopodium (sp?) it truly is their reproductive merchandise, searching sorta like a male dogs's. Guppies have stay children. although there should be a minimum of two women human beings and far of "timber" for the children to conceal in, both clean vegetables from the puppy shops or plastics ones - also from puppy keep. They take about 30 days to be born. "timber" are a might want to, as guppies eat their youthful They shouod be fairly chuffed inj your 5 gallon tank> get excitement from!

Yeah if you have females with males, there’s about a 99.99% chance they are pregnant. I subject taking out the male because they will keep having babies if you don't want anymore babies. Guppies are worse then rodents when it comes to making babies. And they can have 44 babies sometime. One of mine did one time. Most of the time they have at least 14. I don't know what the red things are sorry. Maybe poop. Or maybe a baby.
