... make no mistake I'm behind Boston on this series--mainly because I hate the Yankees and I'm eager to see justice in regards to that bloated "hero," Babe Ruth...

nevertheless, I had hoped for a bit more sport in this series...

yes, yes, it is but the 7th and just as I started typing Hawpe *finally* got the Rockies on the board, it ain't over till it's over... still, if the momentum is unphased, this is shaping up to be as much of a joke as when the 1998 Pads beat out the Braves to ... or the subsequent embarassing year for the choking Braves.

Go Sox! ..but jeez, Rockies, I mean, at least make a college try...

Gene, why do people such as yourself flaunt your ignorance of the people asking questions? Is it really something to be that proud of?

I'm ready for the chat on Roberto Clemente's performance when you are, Gene--but I expect you to draw from your personal observations, not what you've read in books, on Wikipedia, and seen in video reruns. Since you've obviously been into baseball much longfer than I, I look forward to the schooling.

well, for some reason it won't let me vote a best answer...

...but yeah... obviously after that first blow out, they couldn't pull it back together.

Regardless, I'm glad it's the Sox. Just woulda liked to see better out of the Rockies.

the 8 day lay off didn't help things, their timing was way off in game one it looked like. and they just can't get any timely hits.
Their pitching has certainly went down the tubes in the WS, after a great month before that.

Richard, are you new to baseball? Momentum in a short series can be really hard to get back. The Red Sox are a MACHINE and the Rockies are in their very first World Series. That alone can be intimidating. Since the Rockies beat the Sox during the regular season, you have to figure that the experience the Red Sox have, especially coming off the come-from-behind LCS this year.

They haven't. The Red Sox are just clearly the dominant team.
