There will be this beautiful moment in time. It will happen about 2:00 pm EST in Washington DC on January 20, 2009.

Hillary will just have been sworn in as the 44th president. She and Bill will be standing on the White House steps, smiling beatifically and waving.

Bush and Laura will slither on board Marine One. It will lift off and the Clintons will wave goodbye as Bush begins the long trip back to Texas to ride his bike and await indictment.

The Clintons will head into the White House and real adults will be back in charge of America once again.

I will be watching that moment on my big screen TV drinking champagne and beaming with joy. I've already told my wife that there is going to be a huge party at our house that day. She's cool with it. I'm already sending out invitations.

Celebrating will be premature. Although Bush will be gone, it will take years to bring this country out of the dark ages that it has been dragged into. Even without Bush, the government will be spying on us, basic human rights will be in a worse state than they were ten years ago, the Supreme Court will be ruled by subjective religious fundamentalists, and Americans will be dying in the name of a misguided, hardass foreign policy.

Seriously, what has Bush really done to damage the country?
You say Patriot Act? That was Congress...
The War in Iraq? Clinton Policy, voted on by Congress
9/11? Yeah Right
Immigration? That's basically every person in Government on both sides of the aisle.
NAFTA? That was Clinton, and Congress.

There has been a lot of screwed up stuff coming out of the government. But Bush isn't the source of all of it.

We've allowed the Government to much space. It is time to recognize it for what it is, a sly creature that we always need to be wary of.

"Government is not reason. It is not eloquence. It is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant, and a fearful master."
-George Washington

Since the 1960's we have allowed the Government to grow like an uncontrolled wildfire. Don't blame Bush, look to yourself. I look at myself. I have done far to little to combat the growth of government.

By blaming Bush, you blind yourself to the true problem.

I`m guessing America`s liberals and democrats will be shooting their secretly acquired automatic weapons into the air...then begin to shiver, thinking about what might come next. I sure hope Hillary can save us all.

I'll pop off a few rounds at the target range, head to the bar, and dance the night away--knowing ding dong the wicked witch of the west is gone!

I won't, there will be nothing to celebrate. Hillary will be elected and it will be just like Bush being president. Why do Bush supporters hate Hillary,a vote for her will be a continuation of Bush type presidency.

I'm going to log on to YA and ask the cons:
"Now that President H. Clinton is in office, are you going to put your money where your mouths are and 'support the President' like you've been saying we should do?"

It will take generations to undo the damage he has caused this nation. The nightmare, sadly, is far from over. Still, if I drank, I'd be right there with ya!
