Yeah, wolfdancer is right. Don't be embarassed, it's their problem not yours. Did you choose how you were born? Did you choose your family? Did you choose your skin color?
NO!!! Some people just aren't comfortable with dealing with others who have different backgrounds. Some people hate people who look different because they have small minds are are really afraid of getting to know someone who appears to be "different." When I was younger, I used to believe that it was my fault I was different. It's not, and differences are something to be enjoyed, not hated.
After all, do you really want to live in a world where everyone looks the same, dresses the same, acts the same, eats the same food, celebrates the same holidays, and have the same hobbies? That would be pretty BORING. All of my friends come from all sorts of different backgrounds and have all sorts of neat experiences, and I'm always happy to hear about them.
So love that you're part asian. You probably get to experience at least two different cultures. Besides, you'll eventually realize that in America, there is no such thing as "THE American culture."
You're right, many people view asians as second-class citizens, but guess what? Those people are becoming fewer and fewer. Plus, simply because people treat asians poorly doesn't mean that asians actually deserve it. Like I said before, some people treat others badly because they're actually afraid of them.
*By the way, everyone that I know who is multi-ethnic is pretty hot - no exceptions. So you must be pretty hot... don't break too many hearts :)

No there not! Not here anyway. I mean every Asian I have seen or met has been nice and seems to be treated no better or worse because they are Asian. Now I will admit that many Hispanic people are, and that is due to the whole illegal immigrant thing that's going on. I myself wish there were more Asians, or at lest more Asian women here. =) Yeah I know everyone says that now, but I have loved Asian girls since 4th grade so I really like them and am not just now saying and seeing how pretty they are unlike everyone else. I mean it's been ....well, let's just say a long time since 4th grade for me. Anyway, I have not seen that Asians are treated any worse or better than Caucasian people or really any other type of people from what I have seen. I know black people get upset and say they are treated like a 2nd class citizen, but once again, I have not seen that here where I live. Man I'm sorry if people are being rude, their just jackasses, I would ignore them or find a way to get back at them. That sucks!!! I have never viewed Asians as second class citizens. I would hope no one else would either. What nationality are you, I mean the Asian half?

I do not have any idea why you should feel embarrassed or anything like that. It used to be that the only people who were looked down on were black. And Asians were never looked down on. So stop with the embarrassement, it is not necessary. You should be proud and stand up for it. You are cool and should be proud of it.

Not up in my neck of the woods, they are usually upper class... good schooling and career orientated. Asians are very well off and fairly wealthy in the city I reside in. I suppose they have old traditions and good ethics/morals. I feel second class to them. I really respect them and their culture.
Heck, I'm part Spanish... talk about being viewed as second class. :(

Maybe where you live? I haven't seen any second class citizen labels on them here. And certainly not on a friend of mine!

Everyone is considered a minority. This land doesn't belong to most of us, so we're all second class citizens.
