I know it's being remodeled or soon to be.
But I heard they'll open it for more year til the summer of 2008.

I like Coney Island with their popcorn, cotton candy, funnel cakes, hot dogs, and I could go on all day.
Heh if they really close it down I'm gonna run around the beach like crazy, go on every ride even the haunted house, eat all the food they offer, and play every game.

I heard Thor enterprises bought some parts of land and want to upscale the area.There was alot of going back and fourth as to what they were planning to build in the area.At one point it was supposed to be a new upscale mall with a movie theater and lots of restaraunts.There was an outcry in theConey Island community to keep it an amusement area.Last thing I heard was that Thor enterprises had planned out the new era of Coney Island with an improved amusement area.I hope they keep adding more rides and make it grander than ever,just like old school Coney.

You would go broke very quickly then :P. It's a bit overpriced. But I hope they don't tear it down or close it that would be terrible!!!
Although I only went on the cyclone once and vowed to do it never again (which I actually said during one of the less bloodcurdling moments of the ride to the person sitting next to me and was the cause of much hilarity throughout the entire car) I adore coney island...the boardwalk...nathans...the sideshows...the wonderwheel....the brooklyn cyclones...even walking over and just looking at the parachute jump...its awesome!!! they can't tear it down, they just can't!!!!
