It doesn't really matter as long as it is something easily digestible (not corn, broccoli, zucchini). Carrots, squash or sweet potatoes are popular to start with because they are sweeter, but you can also start a baby on green beans or peas to get them used to the less-sweet taste. Just make sure you stick with 1 food for 3-5 days before moving on to another to check for allerges.

The first vegetables are: Peas, Greenbeens, sweet potatoes, and acorn or butternut squash in any order. All are easy to digest and it doesn't matter what you start first because breastfed babies are natually used to sweet food (not sure whether formula is sweet).

Every doc says something different. I started carrots first then tried the greens. Which he doesn't like unless I mix them with the carrots or sweet potato.

Something that is not sweet. Don't give corn, as it is hard to digest....wait a couple more months. I gave my son home-cooked veggies because I could control what was in it. I salted the water they were boiled in, but not the veggies themselves.

for me it's potatoes..but always remember to give your baby food one at a time...always introduce foods one at a time because from there you will know which foods causes some allergy to your baby..

Try avocado - it is very healthy and rich in nutrients. Mash it up. Try things that aren't too sweet first.
