My daughters IPOD does not work at all, I tried charging it and nothing, it does not go on. She got as a gift around 2 years ago, anything I can do or is it shot.

try pressing the menu and select key (the circle on in the middle) at the same time for a while. if that doesn't work i'm not sure. you can try taking it into the shop?
i've been told iPods only last about 2 yrs

this morning connect headphones to my ipod and it got freeze I tried to turn it off but it didnt do anything then I thought it might work if I try connect it with iTunes. When I connect to iTunes it gave me message that iPod got currupted then I found the answer for your question and try pressing menu and center circle together for a while and it start working. Only thing went wrong was like all the albums are in one folder instead of different. As far as it work that is all I care.....thank you for posting your question and thank you to the person who gave you the solution.....it really helped me...
