This depends on when and where you are planning to use them. If, say, you wrote "I am going to the high school" then no. But if it is part of the school's name, such as Apple Valley High School, then yes.

The words as you show them in your sentence do not need capitalization. If you identify the school by name ( Doolittle Middle School ) or ( Hamden High School ) then the words are capitalized.

It is capitalized when you write it as a proper name
eg. He attends Kettle Valley High School.
but not when you write, She is attending middle school.

Depends on if you are talking about middle and high schools in general or if you are talking about a specific middle or high school. For instance "I am excited to start attending middle school" would be OK if you were just explaining generally. If you were specific you would need "I am excited to attend James Polk middle school. Hope this helps!
